PharmNote
PharmNote connects pharmacy field representatives, headquarters teams, and suppliers. I build the backend, web and mobile workflows, and AWS infrastructure behind visits, purchasing, fulfillment, and financial operations.
THEO KIMBackend & Cloud Systems Engineer
I’m Theo, a backend and cloud engineer. My healthcare SaaS work spans clinical and payment APIs, Kubernetes delivery, realtime messaging, and operational analytics.
Built healthcare backend services and contributed to their delivery and operation across APIs, Kubernetes, messaging, and data pipelines.
Modernized core healthcare SaaS backends for reception, reservation, payment, digital charting, patient lookup, and hospital configuration into consistent Kotlin Spring Boot APIs.
View project detailsHelped move a healthcare SaaS service fleet from single-service deployment thinking into Kubernetes and ArgoCD-managed application releases.
View project detailsBuilt a healthcare messaging backend around Socket.IO/Netty, Kafka events, Redis/Redisson state, JPA/Liquibase persistence, translation, media, tags, reactions, friends, hospitals, and read offsets.
View project detailsBuilt data and operations pipelines that made product usage and business metrics visible outside the app runtime across patient-app, review, campaign, credit-balance, and hospital operations flows.

Selected work
Three projects across native apps, web interfaces, and systems research. Explore the product, then the decisions behind it.
Native developer tools
Your local stack, in one place.
Ports, processes, containers, and project sessions become one readable workspace.
Interactive web application
Make concurrency visible.
A working lab for the database behavior that ordinary dashboards leave unexplained.
Cloud systems research
Make every control decision accountable.
Eight policy roles coordinate customer and provider constraints through a shared Referee and explicit execution checks.
Recent writing
How coding agents move developer leverage from typing code to defining systems, constraints, review, and responsibility.
How Cloud Orchestrator combines eight specialist roles with an optional adaptive ranker, verified decision feedback, frozen comparisons, and evidence-gated policy promotion.
Database / Building PostgreSQL Consistency Lab: From Invisible Race Conditions to an Evidence-Backed WorkbenchA detailed retrospective on building PostgreSQL Consistency Lab: deterministic transaction failures, isolated sandboxes, managed actors, 16 real scenarios, bounded workloads, PostgreSQL observability, a synchronized dashboard, and one shared Go control plane for CLI, REST/SSE, and MCP.
Performance / [DevBerth 2/2] I Closed the Window. DevBerth Kept Using 69% CPU.Activity Monitor showed DevBerth using 69.2% CPU with no window open. This is how I followed the work through Instruments and brought the same Release build down to 0.118%.
My work connects application logic, data integrity, and cloud operations. I carry that experience into current product development, developer tools, and systems research.
